just talking to a buddy and he went out for a blast in his shoebox nova....going through the gears he noticed 8500rpms on his tach in second then 3rd....hes tell me his rev limiter in his msd 6al is toast....anybody here have the same problem....this could be my problem also....but mine was the other way around....tach was below what it was suposed to be

6al takes pills or you need the adjustable box.Is the tach bot reading correct is that the question?Or isnt it hitting the limiter?Rocky

Some tachs wack our with the MSD.Id call them and see what they say.My tach will jump sometimes.I have the limiter at 6800 in my 440 and can push more but the 3.91s arent enough for top end.My shift light comes on at 6500 runnign 4 speed.Rocky

just ordered the 6al-2....i have the autometer monster tach with shift lite and has been working fine for about 10 years now.....my fingers pointing at the box
