I have a 1968 satellite. I wont to remove the oil pan. Do I need to unbolt the motor mounts and lift the motor to remove the pan and replace.its just a stock pan being replaced by a stock pan. Thanks for the help!!!

Here is how I did mine in a 69 Roadrunner auto. Disconnect neg. batt. cable, disconnect the centerlink so it can be swung away, remove inspection cover, un-do pan bolts. On mine I had to move the pan against the flex plate to clear the oil pickup. if the front is still hung up, you can turn the engine by hand so the crank finds a high spot up front.

Makes it easier if you undo the mounts and lift the engine also.I can do my 8qt pan in the 65 with no trouble doing that. There isnt very much room between the K and the bolts that hold the pan on.Rocky
