Hi all!
I've heard that Cordobas and some other cars came w/ a 4" wide fifteen inch 'space saver' spare.
I was thinking of getting a pair of these for the front of my truck to mount some little early Beetle type tires on; anyone know what years and models these rims came on?
Thanks!
-Bill

Vintage International pickup trucks have a 15x4 and they accept the small dog dish hub caps also.
So the bartender says to the horse " Gee, Why the long face?"

So, does anybody have any idea what years I'd look for if I go junkyard scrounging. I'm kinda' trying to keep this on the 'down low' dollar wise.
BTTT...

Studebakers have 15x4 wheels also.Go to a Stude site, you'll find plenty as they are always after the wider Mopar wheels.

Not sure about the 15x4 rims but those tires are going to be too short to use on a truck. They will look silly. You can get away w/ them on an A-body. I use 205/75/15's on my 15x4 fronts.

I used to run those rims and have sold many sets. They were common on temporary spares in 1981 and up Cordoba, Mirada, 5th Aves, Diplomats, etc. thru 1985 or so.
I used to install the spares on the assembly line and got that idea. They don't take dog dish caps. In the last few years street rodders have been buying them from me for various reasons. AMC cars also had their version of these rims.
I have one set left that I am keeping. I sold sets 2 for $50. The hard part is getting the temporary tire off the rim.
Too many cars, too many parts, too little coin, too little space to work in, too little time left to make it all happen!
Update: down to one ride, still too many parts, a little more jingle in the pocket, gaining space, and it's going to happen this year!
