Do these motors have the goofy 413 motor home heads? and what is the easist way to get the engine and trans out of it??

A 1972 MH with a 440 ...with 413 heads ? ..

THAT would be a rare-bird ! .... what kind of MH do you have ?

Not sure what kind it is, just wondering before I make a trip to go look at it. The 440 in motorhomes is just a standard 440?? correct?

They put 440's in MHs .. but only in 1974 and up ! ... if this is a 1972 .. it should be a 413.

And those "goofy" heads ? .. DON'T throw 'em out. I can use 'em.

I have a '73 Motorhome 440 in my car. Came with 213 heads.

Casting# c.c. Application Intake Exhaust
3751 213 73 400 / 440 MotorHome 2.08" 1.74"

A 1973 MH with a 440 ?.... THAT is a rare-bird. It must have been a VERY late 1973 production chassis.

Also .. the original owner of that MH got cheated !

The 413 was a better motor for that application. The reason why the 440 replaced the 413 ... was the 440 cost muchO dollars less to produce.

I've pulled a few of 'em out of bigger MH's. Seems there is no easy way, I doubt they were concerned with acessibility/service when they built those beasts. Bring a sawzall...and a hammer.

never know with Ma Maopar

my buddy has a 73 MH 440 front sump pan looks like the steel crank and 6 pac rods,not sure on the heads but the autolight plugs were 666

my 77 440 from a 60' 79 MH,has the bullet nose damper,cast crank,LY rods,not sure on those heads,seem taller than my buddys,but I will be looking today on mine

IMO, I would not pass it up if its a good price

I got mine with 75,00 miles on the clock for $300

you could allways flip it to some one that wants it..they dont make em any more

sounds like some one want 413 heads

77 on the block and 452 heads
