Not sure what kind it is, just wondering before I make a trip to go look at it. The 440 in motorhomes is just a standard 440?? correct?

They put 440's in MHs .. but only in 1974 and up ! ... if this is a 1972 .. it should be a 413.

And those "goofy" heads ? .. DON'T throw 'em out. I can use 'em.

A 1973 MH with a 440 ?.... THAT is a rare-bird. It must have been a VERY late 1973 production chassis.

Also .. the original owner of that MH got cheated !

The 413 was a better motor for that application. The reason why the 440 replaced the 413 ... was the 440 cost muchO dollars less to produce.

I've pulled a few of 'em out of bigger MH's. Seems there is no easy way, I doubt they were concerned with acessibility/service when they built those beasts. Bring a sawzall...and a hammer.

maybe looking at more than one day

never know with Ma Maopar

my buddy has a 73 MH 440 front sump pan looks like the steel crank and 6 pac rods, not sure on the heads but the autolight plugs were 666

my 77 440 from a 60' 79 MH,has the bullet nose damper,cast crank,LY rods,not sure on those heads,seem taller than my buddys,but I will be looking today on mine

IMO, I would not pass it up if its a good price

I got mine with 75,00 miles on the clock for $300

you could allways flip it to some one that wants it..they dont make em any more

sounds like some one want 413 heads
