Anybody know the minimum thickness spec for the 70-71 B 2 pc rotors? I've got one that has never been turned I'm sure since it still had a pair of original KH marked pads and measured 1.002. The other side had replacement pads and was only .982. I sure hope the spec is not the .980 that I so far have run across.

I believe the minimum is .940.

Isn't it cast .940 on the inside? I have two sets in the garage and both have that min designation cast into them.

Maybe it is a difference between the manufacturer (Kelsey Hayes) and Chrysler's specs.
The shop doing the surfacing will default to the cast in dimension.

Snoopy, the print in your TSB is small but it looks like it says .980. I totally clean both rotors and I didn't notice a cast in spec. Luckily my .982 rotor is has a nice smooth surface on it already. I'll try to get a friend to cut just a little off each side when "big brother" is not looking

I just tore apart one of the rotor assemblies that I have that is to thin to use and I couldn't find any markings on the hub or rotor.
