Ya know, ya'd think a guy smart enough to rebuild an engine could think of a better thread title than "help."
Sounds to me like it's not getting fuel
Plugged pickup screen in tank
bad hose at tank to line, junk in line
bad hose at line--to pump
bad pump
plugged fuel filter.
So, I dunno, it's up to you
Buy a vacuum/ pressure gauge, cheap at any parts store, even a "fake" parts store
Hook to INLET of pump and idle engine long enough to read, see what the gauge reads. Should be substantial vacuum.
Replace both hoses in fuel line, as well as filter
How about carb float level, have you checked that? You been into the carb? Has it been sitting around?

And you would also think a guy with all the answers could read....He said he just had it rebuilt not that he rebuilt it
Do you work for Microsoft? I'm just wondering, because, while your answer was technically correct, it really wasn't very helpful

rig a small gas can in the eng compartment hooked to the pump inlet w some 5/16"neoprene fuel line & take her out again. This'll tell you if the prob is in the rear line/tank/pickup or if it's forward from the there including the pump(including the eccentric,(pushrod if BB) and/or the carb(needle/seat/float level/filter).
live every 24 hour block of time like it's your last day on earth
