"NASCAR's ability to adapt will be crucial for its future success. The average age of NASCAR viewers has increased from 49 in 2006 to 58 in 2022. " Deceased might be the goal, https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/mo...48e5ae261bb28d6e1134&ei=173#image=15

Dodge leaving was not good, attendance did drop, I didn't take as much interest after that, but did watch. Hard have watched it since the last few years. It seems to me like they've tried to make it like other venues, instead of leaving things alone. Now, if they turned it back into "stock" cars, with appropriate safety factors, I'd be watching again. At one time, even before Dodge was in, we'd fly home from Church and catch pre-race, race, post race and MRN's "Nascar Live" show on Mondays.
Younger folks just don't seem interested in this style racing. I could be wrong.

I started watching regularly when Dodge came back in. At my peak, I was watching all or part of over 30 races a year, and I was recording the Daytona 500 because I usually had a conflict that weekend. My watching started to decline in the late 2000s when it seemed like the name of the game was "Who's gonna win this week: Johnson, Truex or Kyle Busch?" I did catch the tail end of Dodge's last race, where Keselowski finally got them the championship they would have had in 2002 if Sterling Marlin hadn't gotten hurt and had to sit out the rest of the season.

Nascar .. No Dodge = No Watch... I think Nascar underestimated how many Mopar / Dodge fans there were when they kissed Toyotas butt to get them in and did nothing to retain the Dodges

They had me for a moment but lost me again.
Too many other things in life competing for my attention, and all of them better and more enjoyable.

I'm 43 years old. I stopped watching it when Toyota started racing. Like all forms of roundy round racing...too much politics.

I quit watching when they "pussified" the event with rough driving penalties and tire cautions so the less prepared teams could get their setups right. The 3 car teams also bug me when the good driver on the team won't put a lap the bad driver on the team. The last full race I watched was the Bickyard when Jimmy Johnson was leading and good year brought a crap tire to the race. Well they let all the teams come in for a mandatory caution every 20 laps. Now when you let the 48 team in first they will pretty much leave first then lead almost the entire race which they did and Jimmy won from the pole. Gus

Gus That Indy tire debacle race was worse than that. Some teams had cars that ran well for 15-20 laps. Others had a hard time going 12. They were throwing cautions right at the window, 10-12 laps, where the 48 fell of fast. The 99 was set up and could run more laps before the tire let go. The last segment of the race, less than 12 active race speed laps, coincidence. Not a fricken chance. If you know what you got and the tire letrs go in 13 laps you better be pitting before that, if you can go 15-20, then you have an advantage which is what racing should be about. More shenanigans and manipulation from the brass at Na$crap. Nascrap is a chevy/gm show the last 40 years.
