1968 Plymouth Valiant 2 door sedan street/strip Big Block project. (Pictures are recent) $9,500.

This is a package deal ONLY, I will not sell parts individually.

I bought this car to use as a parts car/mock-up car for converting another 68 Valiant drag car back to a street car. I am done with the mock-up phase and no longer have use for the red Valiant or the parts I am listing. The car and parts are a good start for putting together an 11 second drag car. First 7 digits of the VIN are VL21A8E. I have a clean Arizona title in my name, VIN tag is present and attached with original rivets, it matches the title.

Sale does NOT include the green car or the red hood. This car is a roller.

Body: The body is solid and straight with the exception of the rusty front floors and 3 small rust holes in passenger side rocker.. Some minor body work was started on the car. Replacement front floor pans have been temporarily installed in the car and are included. There is no gauge cluster in the car but I am including a sheet of flat stock to fabricate a gauge panel from. This was originally a slant 6 car. All the glass is good. Hood is steel with a fiberglass 6 pack style hood scoop.

This is a small bolt pattern car with a set of 4 SBP rally wheels. The car comes with a pair of aftermarket tubular upper control arms, spindles, 5 on 4 ½” rotors, calipers, and braided brake lines (not installed). Also included is an 8 ¾ rear axle housing (54” flange to flange (65-67 B body ?)), axles (5 on 4 ½” BC) and backing plates for 10” X 2 ½” brakes.

The big block K member is set up for spool mounts (mounts and brackets included). This is the same K member the engine was attached to in the drag car. K member is now installed in the car that is for sale. Included on the K Member is an aluminum manual steering box.

The transmission tunnel accepts the 727 and has also been enlarged to accept a 46RH/RE transmission. The piece of the crossmember that was cut out is included and can be welded back in or the crossmember can be reinforced and used with a 500/518 overdrive transmission.

Sale includes the engine (complete air filter to oil pan). 727 Torqueflite transmission with 3000 stall convertor. Stainless headers (with welded O2 sensor bung) and 3” exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. 20 gallon aluminum fuel cell with Holley in tank pump and wiring harness. Autometer 5” tach and mechanical oil and temperature gauges. Original bench seats, 1 aluminum JAZ racing seat, cover and racing harness. Wiring to relocate battery to the trunk. Motor mounts and brackets, factory heater. Bolt on aluminum driveshaft safety loop. Transmission cooler and kick-down linkage. Alternator and high torque starter. Spare pair of 6 cyl torsion bars (the ones that came out of the race car).

When I bought the drag car, a Holley Terminator X fuel injection unit was included with the sale. The wiring was installed in the car. I do no know if the unit was actually used (the 850 Holley double pumper was on the car when I bought it) it appears to be complete. It is included with the sale of the car.

Engine: I bought the race car to re-motor, so only took a short test drive. As I have not torn the engine down I cannot personally verify the previous owners’ claims. The engine ran strong with no unusual noises.

Quoted is the description provided by the previous owner is his ad to sell the race car.

“….508 big block…. Pump gas stroker motor with 10 to 1 compression ….. approx 550hp…… Ran a 1.55 60ft and went 7.3 in the eighth, high 11's in the quarter mile….. On the street cruising it runs 180 to 190 water temps…...Only 4 passes made at Barona 1/8 mile in San Diego and a dozen passes at Tucson Dragway….”

(I have seen the 11.9 time slip from Tucson dragway).

I believe the engine was built with a 440 Source stroker kit but I cannot verify this or the displacement.

Things I have verified:

440 block
“440 Source” stealth aluminum heads
Aftermarket push rods
Adjustable rocker arms (possibly indicating a solid lifter cam ?)
ARP head bolts
Mopar Wedge dual plane intake (P5153525)*
Aluminum water pump housing
Aluminum water pump
Holley 82851 850 CFM double-pumper carb
Mopar electronic distributor
Deep sump oil pan

*A check of availability for this manifold shows it as back order from all the sources I checked.

A short You Tube video of the engine running prior to removal is located at:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gavwtIuX9pA

Transmission: 727 with 3000 RPM stall convertor. It does have a standard shift pattern valve body and TCI aluminum pan. The transmission shifted well and all gears engaged.

Located in southern Arizona (85616). Car and parts are being sold as is where is. More pictures can be seen in my Tucson Craigslist ad: https://tucson.craigslist.org/cto/d/huachuca-city-1968-plymouth-valiant/7766193987.html

1968 Plymouth Valiant · Sedan · Driven 60,000 miles. I'm in Tuscaloosa, Al The car is at Laverne Ferrouillat's shop in Moblie, Al

I have a 68' Valiant 2 door project that I've been working on for a few years. Lots of high dollar parts. I'm a motivated seller. I just need a sell it and move on. All reasonable offers considered. PM me your questions and offers.

All metal replaced as needed. Most body work done. Hemi Denny Tubular front suspension, Freak Ride 4 link rear suspension. Quick Time SBM to T56 Magnum transmission bellhousing. Two disk clutch, hydraulic master cylinder and throw out bearing, New T 56 Magnum transmission, wilwood 6 piston front brakes and 4 piston rear brakes, areomotive 15 gallon stainless steel fuel cell with internal A1000 pump, new dr diff Dana 60, new aftermarket bucket seats, all new speed hut gauges, new dry nitrous system, the following can go with the car but the price will go up substantially, fresh 440" SBM W5 engine with 48 deg R3 block. Dyno'd 644 hp. Complete with all sensors and wiring harness Holley Dominator EFI system.

I also have a pretty much complete parts car. it's a 1969 2 door Valiant, 6 cylinder , manual trans, a/c car. That goes in the deal

I'm reposting. I need to sell this car, so I can get started on my 2000 Dakota race truck. I initially listed it for $10,000 which is less than 20% of the cost of the parts in the car. Shoot me an offer. I'll accept anything realistic .

I have decided to part with my very nice 67 Dart. Everything works and fully street legal. I street drive it all the time. It’s a 512 tall deck all motor no spray with reverse 727 manual valve body and 8 3/4 ladder bar with 4.10. Super solid original body panel car. Stock looking interior minus back seat. Do have light weight Hemi fiberglass hood also along with cowl hood. Car has run a best of 10:80 Not a fire sale but looking to build something else. No trades $37,500

I have owned this car since 2013 and its gone thru many upgrades and with my now known health issue, I am not dealing with any BS. I am pretty attached to the car, but I damn near died this week.....So don't be a jerk if you call or email me. Not dealing with it. Spent the week in the hospital. I do not need to sell the car, but to have the cash if needed if my health changes for the worse.

It won the Gasser Racing series in 2013 with three class wins to take the over all title. Car is a proven winner and it works well.

The car:

Glass roll up windows in the doors
Car weighs 2753 lbs fully loaded
Inner door panels aluminum
Most aluminum, including dash covered in carbon fiber wrap
Holley stand alone dash with many sensors
Willwood brakes all corners

The engine: (brand new, not even broke in yet)
400, 512 stroker from 440Source with girdle and light weight crank
ARP2000 rod bolts
1050 Holley carb
Indy big valve EZ1 heads fully ported
Moral Lifters
Comp/T&D 1.5 rockers
Indy 4500/400 intake, ported by me
10.7:1 compression for pump gas
Block bored with torque plate
Block decked .005
Exhaust is 2" into 2-1/4 to 4" fender exit (Loud)

Steel outer drum
Extra clutches
modified for better oiling
deep cast alum pan

Car typically runs 6.0 at 115mph in the 1/8th and 9.4's in the 1/4...with this combo.

Still weight to be removed from the doors, and around the radiator.

The funny thing about science is that if you change one miniscule parameter you change the entire outcome to the way you want it.

I am putting my 1969 Dodge 340 Swinger up for sale that I have owned since 1999. It is one of the most optioned Swinger’s I have seen. I will list most of the information , good clear Kentucky title, no rust, never wrecked, showing 126k miles. Ask for information if needed. I prefer no dealers and no trades. I have the build sheet , owners manuals, original keys, etc.. The car is what I classify as a very nice driver with the paint being fair, some flaws. Engine, transmission, radiator, carb, are numbers matching. Mechanically it needs nothing and drives, brakes, steers, performs very strong, one of the best running stock 340’s I’ve known (second gear tire chirp).
Original 1969 Dodge 340 Swinger, F8 Dark Green Metallic, tan interior (new Kegendary carpets, rear package tray), original door panels, headliner, dash pad, lights on buzzer, bullet fender turn signals light package, factory undercoat, 3:23 Sure Grip, PB front discs,(all brakes new), rebuilt PB booster, carb rebuilt by Scott Smith (Harms Automotive), factory AC works but needs R12 recharge, tinted glass, remote outside drivers mirror, stripe delete ( someone painted a nice tail stripe on it long ago, deluxe interior with loop pile carpet, bumperetts, . The radio is a Jenson that sounds great but I have a Dart AM radio if wanted, 90% Firestone bias ply redlines, original Jack in place, new trunk mat, all gauges, lights, wipers, windows work as should. I’ve probably missed something but tried to cover everything. Ask if you have questions. I will post a few pictures but have more. $50k. RR6BBL1969@AOL.COM
Email me for pictures, this site says my photos are too big.
