Power for those can be about 700 HP, except restrictor-plate tracks @ about 450. IIRC, they're 3400 lbs w/driver, minimum. The car in the OP could certainly vary, as it's an old car, and not at an Xfinity race. Their tech guys are murderous compared to NHRA, but obviously they're 2 different worlds. For ovals, maximizing left side weight is limited by regulations. Hence stuff like oil tanks & batteries have been traditionally left side, and located with regard to polar moment of inertia. I would think a road course configuration would be inherently better at drag racing than an oval car configuration. FWIW, An obsolete dirt Sprint Car from 40-50 years ago should easily run 8s.

It didn't look Xfiniti to me either, looks like a CASCAR which I think used the gen3 hemi Edit, it aint no CASCAR, pics for difference

And later ones, much quicker! 900 hp at what, 1400 lbs with driver? With traction, 7s?

My son and I went and watched the High Limit series 410 sprints a few weeks ago. Mostly chevies, one ford, one or two Toyota engines was all I found. No matter the powerplant it was a good show.
