What is the trick for applying new carpet, on the driver side hump, that goes on a B body 4 speed console? Does that piece come molded to fit, or is it a PITA?

Suggestions welcome.

Thanks.

It comes molded to fit the hump , you need to unroll it and let it sit out somewhere warm for a bit so it will flatten out after being rolled up for however long it has been .

running up my post count some more .

a small heat gun helps as well.
just use enough heat to allow some extra conformity to be obtained.
too much heat will deform the carpet's pile or loop design.

What are you'all using to glue the carpet to the console? I am looking to glue carpet on '69 A Body console carpet.

While not "correct", I used Velcro strips. I didn't have good luck with gluing it. The fit wasn't that good and I needed to make slight adjustments so it fit the floor. The Velcro allowed me to make those adjustments for the best fit.

when using velcro, which is an excellent method to help out the form fit "fit better", use the industrial grade.
the backing adhesive is way better, as is the quality and grip of the "fingers" of the material.

Id deal directly with ACC, seen to many "substitutions" from several vendors pushing stuff off as ACC, best to go directly to ACC's site and purchase, keep in mind the 4spd console kit is available in other ACC carpet grades other than 80/20 loop....cut pile, high cut pile, etc to match the mat'l grade of the main carpet set
