I had a bunch of those pans back when Charlie was still around. He used both solid and screen type windage trays. Either one can be fabbed up by a local shop if you need one built.

My pan is similar. The difference is a kickout at the side. I fabbed up a second screen tray as he first one cracked. I was told to wrap the ends of the screen around tig wire. Since I've added a scraper as well. Doug

The Charlie's pan on the left is mine. It is currently installed on my '70 cuda...so yeah, it'll fit an E body, lol. It holds 8 quarts in just the pan. The windage tray is VERY simple. Get a flat sheet of aluminum, bend it on one side, and drill some holes.

No, I just slid everything back in place after I put the pan on and bolted it up. You still have plenty of access to grease all the steering components...if that's what you're asking?

Here are a couple of pics that show the windage tray better... There is a little small plate at the rear of the windage tray that isn't installed in these pics. It's basically just a tray extension that covers the rear area up.

No, I just pop them on the side w/ a hammer and they come right apart...no pickle fork.
