Hi
I need to remove the glove box knob.
I've found a key that fits and rotated it to the versicle position.
There's supposed to be a window to access a locking tab-not present on my lock.
Are the any suggestions?
Thanks

I think you need to wiggle it a little higher, slot is below that lip

I know that. Point is: you need the correct key inserted when removing/installing the cylinder from latch.

I remove these often using another method. Leave two attaching screws in place. Take flat blade screwdriver and insert into chrome knob slot slightly. Pry to the side and it will pop off. You can then remove the two attaching screws from back side and remove cylinder. To put back together use a socket with tape on end to protect chrome....and press together in your bench vice. Been doing this for years now.

Having the key and the position of the knob is inconsequential if the window is not there.
The image clearly shows where it should be.
I took 70gtx440dana's advice (Thank You!) and popped the knob off.

Your welcome...I remember the frustration of trying to figure this out via photos several years ago. For most i have done..... I have no key. So, this works well.
