Is there a valley pan that works with an rpm intake on a 440? I had low vacuum on my 440 in my ramcharger and replaced it with a stock valley pan. Went from 7” vacuum to 0”. I would like to put a aftermarket on such as one of Andy’s but not sure if it works with the rpm. The engine has ported sidewinder heads so I know I may have to use the bat wings.

You have to mill the cross over off if you are going to use a flat valley plate

Thank you Andy. I might throw a single plane on it just to remedy this issue. It makes plenty of torque anyways.
It’s 10 to 1 with fully ported sidewinder heads. Trickflow 243@050/.600 cam. I have a 3500 stall and 4.88 gear with 36” tires.
What all does your valley tray work with? It’s currently a rpm.

Any single plane intake should fit with a billet valley plate.

Some of the older design single planes that utilize a heat crossover will have that crossover hanging down below the bottom edge of the mounting flange.

Since the Sidewinder heads have no heat riser port, if the crossover hits the valley cover it can just be removed.

I've always just made my own. One 3/16 aluminum with the edges beveled off for a good bead of silicone. another with 16 ga steel with a 3/4 inch flange bent down on the edges for strength and a good bead of silicone.
