Hello. Is there a difference between upper and lower ball joints between disk brake cars and cars with drum brakes? I'm talking a 1969 car. Thanks.

Sorry, it's a 69 A-body, with 10 inch drum brakes.

Upper is the same. Lower is the same casting with 9/16" bolt holes instead of 1/2". All you need to do is drill the holes out.

That is assuming you are using the '69 ('65-72) Kelsey-Hayes disc brakes.

Good to know , thanks Jim.

Also good point , if switching to the 73 up large bolt pattern discs the lower is also a different part .

No disc, it's a 10 inch drum brake car.

If you plan on installing disc brakes, you will need the lower disc brake ball joints. When I installed the 73 Duster disc brakes on an older A body I used the 73 lower ball joints and the disc brake spindle. But that was a LONG time ago.

Switching to the 1973 and later front disc brake set up gets you the 4.5 inch wheel bolt pattern also up scope

I did that on my last street and strip 1971 Duster up I also swap the passenger side to the driver side and vice a versus so the heavy brake caliper were mounted behind the spindles hoping to get a little more weight moved towards the back instead of hanging on the front sides of the front spindles work scope

Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)

Are you switching to discs ? NO, I'm not switching to discs. This car will remain a 10" drum brake car.
