Hi all, I'm looking into replacing the inside rear window moulding on my 69 Bee.... problem is I can only find the plastic 3 piece set , (2) rigid side pieces and the plastic middle
coupler . My Bee has a one piece flexible vinyl type that clamps onto the teeth around the window, this vinyl piece is similar to the (2) small vinyl strips that clip onto the quarter panel edges at the door openings. The moulding in question is original to the car but it has gouges and cuts on it this is why I want to replace it but, can't seem to find this type anywhere
any clues as to where I might find such a thing?

Later, BUZZ

Thanks but.... no thanks, this is the garbage set I've already tried to install on the car and all sorts of fitment issues. I thought I had a bad set so I returned them, I was sent another set, same deal....... at this point I thought it was me so I had A Mopar car buddy of mine try to install these, and same issues, the (2) side pieces don't follow the curves at the roof line and if your lucky and get them to clip into place they don't hold on very well and pop off and the corner pieces don't line up with side pieces and vis-versa. Ex; if you clip the corner piece to the lower moulding (the one that is attached to the rear of the package tray) then the other end doesn't line up with the side mouldings. If you try it the other way by clipping the corner piece to the side moulding, then it won't clip to rear lower moulding because the angle is real off. Now, even though my original moulding is damaged, I put everthing back in its place, removed all that plastic bullcrap mouldings and corner pieces and installed my flexible 1 piece vinyl moulding strip, fits great holds great in the corners and each end touches the lower corner piece. Like I mentioned my car came with this moulding and it is a Chrysler part, it's got the penta star and part # starts with 2936 and thats where the gouge has taken off a piece of the vinyl so I can't search by part number but it is the same shape as the crappy plastic ones and because it fits end to end I deem it original to the car so again.... It's this (FLEXIBLE TYPE) 1 piece vinyl moulding strip that I looking for.

I have been down this road, I feel your pain.

I chose this generic part after purchasing damaged original b body molding on eBay (the spring steel was cut).

Yeah, that's the dam freakin' moulding I'm talking about. Did your car come with that type of flexible moulding? I've been looking around at other B-body cars at shows & meets they all seem to have the multi- piece rigid type. I'm wondering if at some point Chrysler changed over to the flexible type because the workers on the assembly line were taking up to much time trying to fit these things into place. THANK -YOU for showing me this (new) available model.... that will work for me, one question, was the moulding long enough to fit end-to-end ? in other words do the ends touch the lower back piece thats fastened to the package tray ?

This trim was already removed when I purchased my car, this molding is plenty long (90”). I compared it to the repop (hard plastic pieces) and the OEM style b body windlace purchased and it was longer.
I discarded the damage piece that I had bought, Therefore, I am unable to show you the difference in texture.

Thanks, you've answered all of my questions, I'm going to order that trim you suggested install it and call it a day. I've been screwing around with that back glass moulding for way too long. Texture is not a problem, looks pretty close to me. Again, thanks for the info.
