Hi guys. How hard is it to remove a shift kit from a 727 transmission. Now that I'm a old man I don't like the hard shifts or how long it takes to shift into drive. Seems like it takes forever to go from 2nd gear to drive. I'm talking 40 to 45mph. Need your advice. Thanks.

The shift kit itself won't cause late 2-3 upshifts, the TP linkage adjustment controls that for the most part. Try shortening the linkage for earlier shifts.

As far as the hard shifts, the orifices in the steel separator plate that have been enlarged are hard to go back from...need stock parts or a whole new stock valve body.

Where can I find or get a stock valve body and is it hard to change. As far as the kickdown arm goes its screwed all the way back.

valve bodies are easy to change after you drop the pan.
just 14, 1/4" bolts [7/16" head"], and the E clip removed from the park rod. [unless you elect to leave the rod attached, and move the driveshaft around so the ball on the end of the park rod pulls through the slot on the tailshaft "park gear"]
don't forget to remove the NSS, and the kick down and gear selector levers before you start.
i think the trans-go TF-2 instruction pdf has been posted here before. the pictures will show you what needs done.
as for finding a stock valve body, check any transmission repair shops near you. you might get lucky. or post a want add in the proper transmission forum here.
when you say the kick down arm is "screwed all the way back", do you mean it's as short as it can get ?
beer

Stock carb or aftermarket:? If aftermarket, does it have the correct Mopar throttle lever adapter?

I’m north of Clarkston. If you can’t find a good valve body PM me, I have quite a few in stock,
