I know the dimmer will give the lights a flicker, so set the dimmer and leave it alone so i have read.

But what brand or type has anyone used with Sucess and nice appearance.

this is for my 72 demon.

thank you

Thank you

There are significant variables for LED dash lites for color and brightness....
My recommendation would be to buy 3 or 4 different single LEDs, try each and then choose which one delivers the expected performance...

Just my $0.02... wink

We have used multiple brands and didn't find any significant differences for reliability. As I posted previously, I would get a few samples and go from there, I did find a wide range of color and brightness, but once U find one that U like buy enough quantity and a couple of spares.
Though frequently some people will mention a favorite but again this comes down to a personal choice.

Here is what I put in the Rallye Gauge light bar in my 71 Barracuda.
Good color (warm white), brighter than the OE incandescent (e-bodies have notoriously dark gauge lighting) and dimmable.

That was by choice not chance: will become fatiguing/or distracting to drive around at night with bright dash lamps for hours .

I went with https://www.superbrightleds.com/ for my car. Some that I used are no longer available. They are dimmable, but kind of flicker when they dim. I have a 70 Monte Carlo and the dash lenses are green tinted. I went with green lights in the console and white in the dash. May swap to green if I ever take it apart again. The color of bulb should match the color of the lens (hi beam is blue, so go with blue bulb).

I too went with the superbrightleds.com lights.
Mine are not dimmable - its either on or off.

I went with the cool blue ones as I want them clear and bright at night.

I agree, these are the best

https://www.superbrightleds.com/led...e-135-lumens+color-Green+packamt-10-Pack

This is what I used on my '89 Diplomat and the first I found to be dimmable and work nicely. Past ones in white were too bright and washed out gauges. I was able to select green and they dim and look great. Been over a year now stilling working well. My picture isn't as good as it looks in person.

I don’t want to hijack this post, but would like to see a ‘68-69 B body dash with LED’s and what color was used. I’m thinking about upgrading mine this winter.

I can tell you this much. Using white in my Diplomat with the factory greenish/blueish covers was a mistake. Too bright in LED form and washout the factory covers and turned everything white instead of factory green. I ordered more in green and it looks perfect and dims. I would order what ever color bulb the factory gauge color was, which I guess was also green in the '68-'69 B Body. twocents

Thanks. Good info. What part number and where did you get your LED’s How many did you order? I’m thinking I could leave the turn signal, brake, high beam and oil lights as is.

These are the exact ones I bought, in green and I bought ten I think (it's been awhile) because I wasn't sure how many I needed until I pulled it apart but ten was plenty. I don't know how many yours will need and your twisty bulb holders are probably different size so I'd check with seller to see what size you need. But again, these particular brand and bulb dim, look good and are reilable. up

Used Ebay LED's here, they dim with no issue. They work with the Dakota Dash just fine and I can switch them off by turning the dimmer right down if needed.
