I have two 1971 Barracudas (BH). The SP dates are 115 and 625. Both inner fenders are the originals and the same.

Well damn! I am sorry Nicklas. I took another look tonight and they are indeed different. The SPD 115 GK6 and SPD 625. My apologies to all for my mistake.

I have edited my original reply. My late June FC7 Barracuda has the bulge but no weld nut. The January GK6 has no bulge

Educate me
Does the bulge and weld nut define '72 and later inner fenders?
What does the 70-71 versions look like? yes, the HUMP & weld-nut are required for the '72+ model year battery hold down - the HUMP showed up ~June '71 & the HUMP & weld-nut showed up ~July '71 on (1971) e-body production

My June build 1971 Challenger has the 1971 Inner fender that has no welded in nut. Never seen a 1971 E Body with a 1972 Inner Fender and I have looked at many mid May build E Bodies to the end of production to see what was going on then. My SPD is May 24 but my door stick in June. Cudas with the same or near May 24 SPD have a May Door Sticker. Also Challengers have the three nuts to hold the fenders and Cudas have the studs with near SPDs. The trunk floor on my Challenger has the 1972 Version and the Tach is not the same as my Cuda that has a Nov.5 1970 SPD. Lots of little things were Changed over the last four months of production in 1971 but I have not seen the 1972 Inner on an 1971 E Body.
