I did mine myself, DMT has a rebuild kit
1968 Charger COLD A/C Hilborn EFI 512ci 9.7 compression, Stealth heads, 4.10 gear A518 ODtrans 4100lb,10.93 full street car trim 2020 T/A 392 Stock 11.79 @ 114.5

But moving ahead, here is one AMC version of the Ranco valve. And as you surmised, they are pretty much the same other than the brackets. So that is for the most part what a "rebuild" consists of, moving the brackets.

I found that new four seasons 74661 unit in gold cad. Looks like the stock unit. Anytime you have two different places or even batches of gold cad done, often time they don't match 100%. Because these parts are connected, any differences will stand out more. That's if it matters to you. Point is, I can see the value of rebuilding your old one with the DMT parts.
