1963 Mopar B bodies had the 20 inch front segment, that changed in 1964 to the longer front sections The original post you responded to specified 67 Coronet.
In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

Mopar develop the 002 and 003 Super Stock springs originally and intended use were made for the 1968 Hemi A body cars, hence the 20 inch front segment. I'm under the impression that all of the S.S. springs Mopar has sold for drag racing have the 20 inch front segments Maybe not
Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)

Pretty sure the Challenger had longer springs but I switched to SS springs and the offset hanger kit. Since I didn't want to end up with clearance problems we stuck with the 20" when we swapped to the split mono's.

I am quite aware of the 002/003 springs being 20". You said if he switched to 22" he would move the rear end rearward 2". He obviously now has the 2" longer hangers to use 20" in a 22" car. I said all he had to do is put the stock hangers back in to use 22". Seems kind of obvious. Use stock hangers with stock length springs and all will be well. I think I'll stop here.
