I'm working on my Darts side glass. I've got the new seals installed on the leading edge of the glass. After I polish the stainless on the vent window frame I'll be ready to slide the side glass onto the channel. I was watching some Youtube videos on how this all works and how the glass gets installed in the doors as an assembly. One video showed the guy putting grease in the vent window channel before sliding the glass in. I didn't see any evidence of any grease in the channel during disassembly. It seems like grease would attract dust and not be good to have in there. Am I right in assuming it should all go together dry? Then the plastic seals just ride up and down in the metal channel without any lube?

I don't recall seeing any lube on the slides of the car's I've done over the years. If you do decide to go that way make sure the lube is compatible with plastics as some aren't. Another thought would be to see if the FSM says anything about lubing them beer

You can use dry graphite for lube if needed.

The FSM only talks about lubricating the lift bracket on the bottom of the glass. Nothing about the run channel seals. I know the replacements don't have the same profile as the originals and people have complained of them being really tight.
