Based on the theme of the original post and some of the responses, I'll throw-in my 2cents... As much of an All-Motor guy I am at heart, i don't think what i am selling Dizuster is as 'fitting' as the turbo 360 considering the original intent of the car. It may still be somewhat of a surprise with looks/verses performance but, it'll be much slower especially 'detuned' for longevity. For sure it will be nice for those two to run the same class, I've always liked this class. So, the goal now is to, achieve Dizuster's goal. No doubt the big block will be more "traditional" than the turbo was. But I think it'll still be a pretty cool car with the look that it has, running low tens, dare I say high 9's if I put the car on a little bit of a stealth diet. Cleaned up picture of the new bullet. Will have the drysump and tunnel ram removed, replaced with ported Indy Mod-Man.

How much power did you make with the stock block/crank/rods and how many passes?
How fast did you go with the stock pistons?
Now I need to pin those needles, got to feel that heat Hear my motor screamin while I'm tearin up the street

glad to see you ditching the turbo.all the turbo is .is street outlaws monkey see monkey do.everyone wants to be like the tv tells them to be LOL... this car was together and on the chassis dyno a year and a half before Street Outlaws ever aired for the first time. So I think they are the monkey's not me! I was going to post the same thing! I find it ironic the turbo slamming came from someone with the slowest tube chassis B1 headed car west of the Mississippi I had a similar thought having seen the for sale ad. Turbo'd since 2007 here! Good luck with the new combo Dizuster.
11.48 @ 120 with a 1.80 60' 318, stock 1.88 heads, stock 904, Pump Gas, 13 lbs of boost.
9.94 @ 134, 318 on pump gas, 14 lbs w/ Eddies, transbrake 727, 3600 lbs, 3.54 gear and 28's.

sounds like a lot of fun DZ ! i wished you guys were closer so you could give my a$$ a KICK [start] and a helping hand getting my charger back up and going. my dad was kind of disappointed i chose interest in cars and machinist work instead of carpentry, like he and grandpa was into. although in later life, the old man was real happy i chose what i did, because i saved him tons of money and time fixing his ride[s]. to say he was rough on vehicles was kind of an understatement. he did have a great sense of humor though. [the family says we all have a great sense of "A$$HOLERY" ] till the day he died, every time he saw me no matter where that was, he would look at me and say : "HEHEHE ! I got HAIR, and you DON'T ! HEHEHE!" [referring to the baldness of my dome] i sure miss him !

All you fair weather 'turbo' guys are pushing my buttons, lol. The H with it all, now I'm set on turning UP the wick on this underachiever BB and driving past the 9.55. Now I just gotta get Diz on board $$$.

FWIW it still has the runner bosses for injectors AND there'd be no modifying the intake plenum/runners either! It is low compression too...hmmm.

Best of luck with the new venture. You and I learned many of the same lessons. It made me feel better knowing that I wasn't the only one with such growing pains. When I started the budget TT440 build on Moparts in 2001 I caught tons of grief and ridicule. There were several encouraging folks but it was the ugly stuff that always seemed to surface. Fast forward 20 years and everyone wants to turbo. It is so much easier now with all the electronics. I imagine you get the same lines I do from others. So many people ask if I'm going to turbo the next project. There's no way I'm going to pay for a wood chipper big enough to handle 541 inches of exhaust flow. I'm not around as much as I used to be but I, too, enjoyed watching your progress. Here's to the next one!
