I'm looking into getting a set of the Hotchkis adjustable upper control arms for my cuda. Has anybody noticed a notable difference after installing them? I do like the extra adjustability that's built in, but I'm worried about the longevity of the rod ends on a street car. I'm also not impressed that they come with cheap Taiwan ball joints installed, especially given how much they charge.

WOW! Over $1,000! But at least you don't have to remove them to adjust them anymore.

I just shorten the rear arms of the stock ones by 1/4" and with the offset bushings have adjustment range to spare. Since I am not much of a welder, a local machine shop will cut them down and weld them back for less than $100. Done quite a few like that over the years. twocents

I've got SPC arms for my Dart. They were on sale on Amazon super cheap so I grabbed them. Way cheaper then these are listed at.

I have the older Hotchkis arms on my 68 Charger, they correct some geometry issues that the other brands dont, have about 2k miles on them, so far so good, they correct what they call Caster gain, car drives great .

I have the older Hotchkis UCA also but bought the whole kit shorty after they came out.
I think I paid $1600 for the kit through Summit.
Car doesn't get driven much so don't know about durability,

The change to Proforged Ball joints was because of the fall off in quality in Moog. They are far superior. Trend analysis found that the Moogs were failing at a ridiculous rate, causing failures and warranty issues.
The Hotchkis piece costs as mush as it does because they are made in America. and you're getting the best and most tested factory replacement suspension components on the market. Period.

Moog sucks now. They used to be about all I would use. But not anymore. They are just more overseas crap, only more expensive. ProForged is what I use now, if at all possible.

I literally experienced the issue of Moog's "fall off" in quality first hand. The picture is how it came to me in new in the box. This is after the first set wore to sloppiness in less than one oil change/service period.

I've been using them on my Challenger for about nine years. It was a marked improvement over the factory arms with offset bushings. As far as longevity is concerned I have no issues. I do spray the heim joints about once a month with Triflow. They get squeaky if I don't.

For those inclined to get even more longevity out of them, they sell a heim boot kit that I use on all of mine. Pack them with grease and no issues, and no lube service.
