What are you guys doing for seat belts on cars the see street use. I currently have nothing. I need something, even lap belts would be a step above what i have right now. I have a roll bar installed, so I can do a harness, but not sure what i should get.
Cam lock style? Not cam lock...
4 pt, 5pt? Thanks
I have a set (5 point black latch style) that I just took out of my duster because the two year cert ran out. Pay the shipping and they are yours but honestly they only cost 60.00-70.00 new from summit. I usually sell them local for 20.00.

However, for the passenger I dont think an expired SFI will matter... Ill send you a message.

Most race belts are NOT DOT approved . Don't ask how I know . I read that. I guess its still going to better than no belt at all!

Most race belts are NOT DOT approved . Don't ask how I know . probably the same way I know, a Missouri Highway patrol mentioned the fact that only DOT approved seat belts are to be used in vehicles driven on the highway. He did not give me a ticket just a warning.

GREED seems to be the ONLY reason for this "rule"........... It’s not the money as much as it is the job itself. My black duster is semi easy but working upside down around the roll cage when you are old and fat is getting rougher each time. My blue car is a real pain in the butt. The seat has to come out and on a 6.50 cert car you have twice the number of bars to work around.

[i just don't get it. GREED seems to be the ONLY reason for this "rule"........... When NHRA made that rule NASCAR allowed the same belts to be used in their cars either(CRS ) 3 or 5 years before replacing them. Those belts were in use in the sunshine and being used lots more hours that drag cars do Damn NHRA and its political decisions

I seem to be one of few that really dislikes the safety aspect of 4 pt.
2, 3, 5 or 6 are all better IMO, although the 2 may not be much better if you have a roll bar . Safety crews like belts a contrasting color from your race suit. Black is always best for UV resistance. Consider shoulder belts width size if a Hans is in use or in the future.
