I have one that is fully molested and setup for a 4500 carb...I might consider selling.

I'd bet he means the 3X Indy. Those B1 intakes are pretty good though. I'm wondering if you have a scoop/turbulance issue. Like someone mentioned simple AND CHEAPER AND EASIER TO PACKAGE. Individual EGT's are adequate to determine distribution. This is the way we used to in NASCAR and they ran WOT for more than 9 seconds too.

Actually, non-budget fully ported B1MC heads with 2.4" Ti intake valves. Ports actually too large for this application. Need a smaller port manifold that can be ported for good flow then installed with the mis-match at the head.

HardcoreB, this B1 instake flows well for what it was designed and ported to do, but it was not ported for land speed racing, heavy load at speed. Car (1969 Daytona clone) ran almoat 231mph as is, but I agree turbulence at the carb had a lot to do with the problems of distro. Moroso DS-2s that grew 2 1/2" in diameter at that speed caused the final drive ratio to be way too high, compounding the problem.

Still need an uncut Indy 400-3.
Thanks

Are the DS2 tires allowed to run above 175.+MPH by SCTA and BNI now?

Hughes Engines sells that low deck INDY 400-3 (4500) intake and they’re in stock.

EDIT: Their checkout leads a person to believe they're in stock. LOL

I don't know how your application is any different than a NASCAR engine? Other than a restrictor motor, any intake i have even seen has been ported in a conventional way with no reduction in cross-section.

Hey, can't find a Jack Moore on here. If you can get me in touch with him I will appreciate it. Just spoke with Indy yesterday. They said the manifolds should be poured today and available in 4-6 weeks. But that is the same story they told me just over two months ago. Hopefully they will be available soon.
