Sorry for the bad pun. I want to put those long flat nascar style exhaust tips in front of my rear tires. Does anyone with that kind of system, become annoyed by the sound with your windows down? I plan on using Magnaflow 14210 mufflers, because they have the inlet and outlet, like on AAR 'Cuda factory mufflers. Thanks!

Not sure about 'flat' exhaust tubing, but when the car had fenderwell headers the 3" round exhaust ran along the frame and exited in font of the rears.. it would annoy other drivers, but it wasn't too loud and sounded great to me, especially when going through underpasses. "Annoy other drivers" So funny! Thanks!

Dr Gas sells those as exhaust tips and also versions that are mufflers too. Cool. I'll check it out. Thanks!

on my stepside I just put on new pipes and magna flow muffs.
I have headers and used 2.5 pipe *about 3' no bends, hang muffs, and about 3'-3.5' nice sweeping 90* bend/no kinks and both tail pipes are right inline under the bed step brace & edge on fender. would be just right for mounting a set of LRE stacks & all tucked up above the lower frame rails. so no ground clearance issues.
give u a looky see when we catch up again. Hey Scratch! I would take a ride in your step side to give your exhaust systemt a listen, but I'm still carrying the emotional scars from when you almost killed me in your Jeep! LOL

Well, I ordered the Boom tubes, and a set of custom 18x8 aluminum wheels. Here's what the beast looks like now...

Cool short bed. Thanks! However, the tires won't stay cool, because it does burnouts with ease!

Nice truck. I assume it's a newer model with an older grill? Was the grill a direct bolt-on? Post a video when you get the boom tubes on. A guy that used to be on E-bodies.org had them on his 3gen hemi Cuda. They sounded really good. Well, I bought the truck just as you see it here. It's a 1974, and I think that is the correct grille. It's only my 3rd Mopar truck. I had a 1981 D150 Midnite Express clone, and a 1989 Ram D50... which really doesn't count, because it is a Mitsubishi. Those stacks with Are Chamber mufflers on the '81 sounded great... even with the slant 6. I planned on doing a swap to a 360, but I sold the truck I will try doing a video, but I never did a video before.

I like your innovating that air cleaner I can't take credit for the air cleaner. I bought the truck this week just as you see it. I love building custom Mopars! Soon, I will post build threads on my other 3 Mopar builds. Here's a sneak peak. '72 Satellite, 360 6-barrel, 5 speed. '69 Super Bee Gasser. 6-71 supercharged 426 Hemi, 4 speed, straight axle front end. '73 Charger, 400, 5 speed, with a Weber carbureted 6-pack, and hood mounted air cleaner.

Holy hell Hooligan you have some great cars. Also the truck is super cool. When I responded I thought you were talking car. Now that I see your truck I still believe oval exhaust before each rear tire. Boom tubes came today. Freakin" awesome! Some guy on eBay, making them in his home shop! Not junk made in Chi-land. Mounted in front of the rear tire just the way you like it!

Wheels and tires arrived too. I'm speechless! 18x8 with 4.5" back spacing. I ordered 3-bar spinners. (not here yet) Gotta have spinners! Tires are 255/45/18. All will fit perfecto, like I hoped for!
