I remember when a lot of racers use dish soap to coat the insides of their slicks, I have done that but forgot about until seeing this post It worked but Hoosiers tubeless slicks do hold air a lot better than M/T tube types slicks due My last set of 14/32 M/T stiff walls slicks held air fairly well when new, once they were worn to less than 1/2 the original tread depth they started loosing air quicker I ended up buying a new set of tubes for them and ran them until all the wear holes where gone Thanks Cab. I'm running beadlocks so no tubes. Going to try just using dishwasher soap 1st.

I've ran both and never had an issue with either, but I've only ever read MTs having that issue. No way I'd re-buy a tire I have to soap just to hold air, that's QC they should be doing on their end.

Not sure about Hoosier but my Phoenix tires with bead locks don't leak. I do have MT PBR's but not with beadlocks. They never loose any air either
Ok

All the M/T bias ply slicks I've bought and used where design for tube per M/T tech and all the warehouses I've bought them from Not so on the radials though, they are tubeless. Hoosiers, Goodyear and maybe several others drag tire companies quit making tube type drag slicks years ago

I remember when a lot of racers use dish soap to coat the insides of their slicks, I have done that but forgot about until seeing this post It worked but Hoosiers tubeless slicks do hold air a lot better than M/T tube types slicks due Wipe the inside sidewalls of the slick with Dish soap.... one of life's happy little mystery's that doesn't cost much...and there is no good reason not to if your going tubeless.
