Are Hoosiers better than M/Ts for holding air with doubleheader locks?

I usually spray permatex headliner adhesive inside to coat the walls.

I remember when a lot of racers use dish soap to coat the insides of their slicks, I have done that but forgot about until seeing this post realcrazy
It worked but Hoosiers tubeless slicks do hold air a lot better than M/T tube types slicks due shruggy
My last set of 14/32 M/T stiff walls slicks held air fairly well when new, once they were worn to less than 1/2 the original tread depth they started loosing air quicker whiney shruggy
I ended up buying a new set of tubes for them and ran them until all the wear holes where gone up

Thanks Cab. I'm running beadlocks so no tubes.
Going to try just using dishwasher soap 1st.

I think dishwashing soap was used to help mount tires,
I know I used it when I used to muscle motorcycle tires at home.

I use Permatex red spray adhesive for rim sealing on slicks.
This on a 727 equipped mostly street B-body.

I've ran both and never had an issue with either, but I've only ever read MTs having that issue. No way I'd re-buy a tire I have to soap just to hold air, that's QC they should be doing on their end.

Not sure about Hoosier but my Phoenix tires with bead locks don't leak. I do have MT PBR's but not with beadlocks. They never loose any air either

Ok

All the M/T bias ply slicks I've bought and used where design for tube per M/T tech and all the warehouses I've bought them from shruggy
Not so on the radials though, they are tubeless.
Hoosiers, Goodyear and maybe several others drag tire companies quit making tube type drag slicks years ago scope

I’ve always used Dawn Liquid Blue I coat the entire insides and let dry Yes it’s a dripping mess but have had really good luck with Hoosiers I’m trying it out on Mickey Thompson because have heard they are prone to leaking down Randy

Going to air up the new Hoosiers now and see if they drop down in air pressure over the next couple of days, before I mount them.

iagree
Wipe the inside sidewalls of the slick with Dish soap.... one of life's happy little mystery's that doesn't cost much...and there is no good reason not to if your going tubeless.
