I read through some old threads but couldn't find what i needed if someone can steer me towards a solution i'll dance at your wedding and i only have 1 leg so it would be entertaining lol don't worry nobody but my balet teacher is mad lol so i have a 1988 dakota that i put a 2000 5.9 46re out of a 3500 van in and i carbed and hei and put 3:73 gear with 295/50/15 (don't rem the tire height ) and the only opt i can find for the trans is to go full man vb with the transgo shift reprog anyone have a link to a solution ????

2000 has JTEC pcm controlled lockup and OD….. not sure on that unit how you’ll work around that.

It's for the 46RH versions, not the 46RE versions.

Look up PATC they have the kits to do what you want

Yes, does show RH versions. Maybe OP can contact them and see if will work on the RE.

sorry it takes me so long to answer guys thank you for the help it's ironic that i called the place cuda was sending me and they don't sell one but they sent me to e trans i could have saved all that time on the phone procrastinating and just checked my email and got the goods from ya'll lol thanks jon they have two of them actually they just updated there old ones one is full manual and still electric with a rocker switch for 400+ and a full auto with a gear ind gauge and other nic naks for 700+i'm usually a cheapy person but in this case i can't see myself shifting that monster with that little manual electric switch some one (probably one of my kids) would be riding in it and get it on video then photo shop me shifting with my pinky and i would have to cash in that walmart gift card and fill there car with silly string lol anyway thanks again ya'll for the help ya'll were right on the money and i'll send ya'll an update on how it works as soon as i figure out how i'm going to incorperate that quicksilver floor shifter into the plan cause i paid way to much for that thing so i told ya'll i was cheap !! I wouldn't be able to sleap if i took that thing out lol thanx again charlie

You can put in a good 46RH and the kit that PATC sells and still be under the $695 price tag for the controller!

Can you swap a 46th valve body in to your 45re, or is there more to it than that?

All RH transmissions have a mechanical/hydraulic governor.
All RE use electronics to develop governor pressure.

If you have a RE, installing a RH valve body will get you no upshift. Unless, of course you install a manual valve body.

Install a complete 46RH transmission not just a valve body!
