Did the 67 Coronet R/T with the standard 440 engine come from the factory with the hemi power brake booster if it was ordered with
power drum brakes ?? I was told that this particular combination had the same booster as the hemi. Supposed to be larger mounting hardware ??? Hopefully someone can educate me on this. Thanks in advance.

I have heard that too, but do not know for sure. The dealer install kit would have been the standard bendix to back fit to 66 cars. Now the actual Brake MC in 67 was the same hemi unit with ports to the fender. 68 changed that for non hemi cars to Bendix MC with ports to engine. I do not know if that lead to a misperception on the actual bracket/booster. The booster was a bendix. But it may have been the standard one.

The brake lines from the m/c do indeed exit towards the fender and not the engine side. My concern is the power booster itself. I'm under the impression that the booster itself is also unique. Apparently from what I was told the four mounting studs that go through the firewall are larger in diameter as well as spaced further apart ?? Again thanks for any and all information

Ok, so no offset bracket just the booster to the plate? Attached is the dimensions, can you measure them, from inside car or see if the stud is 3/8".

Power drums got the Midland-Ross, power discs got the Bendix offset booster. Here is one of my 1967 GTX's, 440 auto with power disc brakes.

So it has the bracket between booster and firewall plate raising the booster?
