Hi. Anyone modified a std regulator for boost reference by tapping a hole in the housing above the diaphragm for a small push on fitting ? Would it work? Edit: A bit more info, it's a Aeromotive P/N 13208: Pro-Stock, 4-Port Regulator. It has small hole above the diaphragm in the top housing. I'm guessing it's for referencing to atmosphere so that's where I'm thinking of tapping it. TIA.

I don't see any reason that wouldn't work. A friend did the same thing to a mechanical fuel pump when adding boost and it worked just fine.

Thanks for the replies. I'll have a look at the regulator, see how it is to strip it down. There is already a hole in the body, above the diaphragm. If it looks like adding a fitting there will foul the internal mechanism, then it cant be done. That particular model doesn't seem to have a boost referenced equivalent. I want to reference the regulator to the sealed scoop pressure. Not sure how much pressure it will generate but the combo is pretty sensitive to fuel bowl level.
