Is the wiring to the solenoid a separate wire or does it come out of the wiring harness? I ordered my harness from year one and it has no wire in the harness, unless they sent the wrong one.

The "high idle" solenoid wire is completely separate from the wiring harness. There is also a plastic clip with self adhesive backing to adhere to the driver's side valve cover to keep it away from the throttle linkage.

Btw, I have a 69 solenoid I’ll trade for a 70 if anyone has/needs.

What number are you looking for, preferably the Delco-Remy number and not the Chrysler PN (the DR number is stamped on the solenoid). Also, are you looking for NOS or used operational?

I thought that a separate wire goes from the ballast resistor to the solenoid.

Back of the alternator IIRC....

Neither - goes to the voltage regulator.

Ok. I bought the coil wire but I did not get the solenoid wire. Where do you get the solenoid wire from?
