Just a season end update....

The first time out at the track it ran 9.57 but at the end of the year it ran a 9.27 at 144.50mph.

No changes to the motor or tune up just slightly better weather and everything broke in nicely. Motor, tranny, gears were all new.

I need a new converter or just need mine adjusted, I ran most of the season with my 5,400 2 step chip in the box and then I check the stall and found out it was only stalling to 4,800. The torque is down from the other motor and moving from alcohol to gas lost torque as well.

Are you sure it is the alcohol causing the loss of stall?
I've dyno tested pump gas against E85 and loss 12 HP (688 HP VS 676 HP at 6700 RPM) with E85 and gained 37 Ft. lbs. torque going from 635 Ft. Lbs. to 669 Ft. Lbs. boogie

That is my general understanding as well. Alky makes more torque than gasoline, so when you switched to gas it lost some torque. 4,800 stall is low for that combo; it will run quicker with more stall. cool

Sounds like there’s a bit left in it with a converter update.

You’re sneaking up on it:
