Cass, a.k.a Dr Diff has always told me to use the Ford Racing Friction modifier. Add at least one bottle, and use 2 if you still get differential chatter. My local rear end shop recommends the same claiming that even though most dinosaur and synthetic gear oils are being produced with their own friction modifier these days.
The clutches in my Dana 60 started to chatter on turns after a while and I added a second bottle. It stopped it again.
1970 Plymouth 'Cuda #'s 440-6(block in storage)currently 493" 6 pack, Shaker, 5 speed Passon, 4.10's 1968 Plymouth Barracuda Convertible 408 Magnum EFI with 4 speed automatic overdrive, 3800 stall lock-up converter and 4.30's (closest thing to an automatic 5 speed going)

If the shop added friction modifier why do you need to add it again? Pretty sure the OP was asking if what was used was best for what he had.

Thank you all again. All I saw the Ford stuff mentioned and then looked at some of the other stuff and thought hmm... a couple of these look similar to the Ford stuff right down to the size of the bottle.

If the shop added friction modifier why do you need to add it again? Stumpy, I'm planning to change the fluid/oil in the near future since it is fairly new and the rear end has around 3k mile since the last fluid change from the break-in period. So, it had one fluid change at around 500 miles or so and then I wanted to do this one since it has about about 2.5k to 3k miles from that change to inspect and make sure things are good to go since I bought the truck this way with the limited slip already installed.
