Does anyone have dyno results comparing the stage V intake to the Edelbrock? Stage V looks like it would be better in terms of more symmetrical runner shape/length. I know the carb spacing is wider. Thanks

I prefer short gearing/high rpm to low end torque. Looking to maximize horsepower 5000-7500rpm

Dragula, nice! That is bad ass
Cab, mostly street but it will see the strip. Main concern is which makes more high rpm power. Looks like Stage V would have an edge but they are both rather similar.

How does the ‘Rat Roster’ stack up to those two? Rat roaster is horrible....Had one of those years ago. Had it all modified with a 1" plenum space, ports all reworked and shortened, and then added 1" carb spacers. That's how it ran best. I have pics of that combo. The Tunnel ram or the new single planes make the most power, but hood clearance is generally the issue. My buddy with the 572 Hemi has tested all the dual quad intakes & a six pack one, and the Stage 5 needs the center divider removed and a pair of carb spacers to optimize it. From there, the carb testing began. He has tested a ton of carbs on the dual quads. The fastest was with the new Eddy thunder series 800cfm carbs with a Modman intake if I remember right. Ran 9.80 with that combo. Me, I like the tunnel rams and big single plane intakes and that's what I run now. Both the Indy & Ray Barton provide excellent distribution....Tunnel ram requires port matching and a plenum spacer.

The application is 437ci, 12.4-1, solid roller, EFI, E85, tko600, 4.10's in a 69 Charger.
Again, no concern about down low, wanted to know which made more high rpm power so thought maybe someone had done a back to back test as they have both been around for a while.

The Eddy dual quad was designed around a typical 528 Hemi engine and might lose some velocity with carbs on a smaller engine being a single plane, but your running EFI and that will keep any kind of velocity issues away with proper tuning as the EFI will only add fuel to the air it pulls in.... As mentioned above, we ran them on a 572 and they are very similar when you use a carb spacers....On a smaller cubic inch Hemi, I would probably lean toward the Stage 5 for dual quad and a half milled down divider running carbs, but since your efi, I like a straight path to the intake valve....I would go with the Eddy.
You could also call FHO and get his opinion as he has built countless numbers of these. Also note on the Eddy intake the built in height difference between the front and the rear carb....I am not a fan of that, but I do not use standard engine mounts and my Hemi sits level.
For a single quad, the RBRE was really surprising on how even the distribution was. We ran that on a 484 and it was awesome, and beat any dual quad I ever ran on a smaller Hemi.. And for all out, the tunnel ram will still get the win, even on the smaller engine if the carbs are sized right. The bug catcher tunnel ram setup was on my 484 Hemi....it was a beast. That regularly saw 7200rpm...You couldn't shift it fast enough, so I put an air shift in the car.
On my 605, I went with the biggest 4-barrel 4500 intake I could get, and started out with a 1250 carb and have switched to Sniper Stealth 4500....

When the dual plane center divider is removed, what's left is a crude single plane.

When the dual plane center divider is removed, what's left is a crude single plane. Sounds like something I don't want.

From what I've seen, I'd go w/ the Stage V manifold.
