Here’s my 750hp combo:
440 block,440 source 4.15 stroker, 12.5-1comp,Indy -1 heads hand ported, Indy single plane, 1150 dominator, straightline performance solid roller 268/272 670 lift w 1.6 rockers 112lsa. Made 746hp on the dyno. I’m not a bracket racer, but this combo uses nothing exotic and seems to be a pretty simple

I've ran a low 10 second 440 for years and when I wanted to step it up I built a low deck 511. I used a Hughes girdle, Molnar crank and rods, 11:1 compression so it would run on pump gas. Unported Indy -1 heads, 640 lift Bullet cam and Dominator carb. Best run has been 9.62 @ 137 in a 3200lb car at sea level so with the extra compression and a roller cam I'm sure you would get there performance wise. Despite being sonic checked good, the first one split a cylinder after a short time so I half filled another block and its been ok so far. My biggest regret is that I went with a low deck combo. If it splits another block I would consider an aftermarket block but as the RB blocks are starting to come available again, the choices for an aftermarket low deck block are almost non existent.
