Hey everyone. I am trying to get my disc brake setup pieced together (11.75" Cordoba rotor upgrade) and I noticed that the slider type calipers that Dr. Diff's bracket requires are hard to come by. Of course my Charger has the pin types which I am guessing won't work. Searching around, I found these on Ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/282555496770They appear to be new repro's of the calipers I need, come loaded, and are red powder coated. This seems like a very fair price for all this. Has anybody every used these before? Any issues with these? I am hoping these are at least as good as all the remans out here. I could care less about the red powdercoat but this at least saves me the trouble of having to paint them myself. Of course I am hoping and praying that this setup clears me 15" Magnum 500's.

Not sure why you think slider calipers are hard to come by, they were in production much longer than the pin types, all the way till the end of M body production in 89. Reman ones are readily available and Doc DIff sell news ones for a similar price. For some reason all the parts stores don't have them (even rockauto). Dr. Diff was out of stock until yesterday.

Odd, I just looked at RA and they had plenty. 89 Diplomat.
What application were you looking at? there are a couple different bore sizes, wonder if you were looking at an oddball one? I was looking for a 78 Cordoba.

Hmm, RA shows those to have phenolic pistons, the Diplomat ones I looked at are metal. That might be the issue.

Rockauto can get the calipers in stock, but not the brackets. That's not part of a replacement or mantenience system to have them in stock on a regular replacement parts shop, just on Mopar dealers, and nowdays at repro &/or performance market or used. Slider caliper brackets are not really hard to get, Pin kind are nearly imposible thought ( and when they float on, on outrageous prices ). Cass at Doctor dif is not the only source but also the Ramman. He uses to have both kind.

Those wheels will clear 11.75" front brakes. I own the tooling for reproduction 11.75" slider caliper brackets. I also carry new slider calipers with 2 bleeder valves so they can be mounted toward the front or rear of the vehicle. See below: https://www.doctordiff.com/73-89-slider-calipers.html Thanks for responding. I just purchased your brackets last week and I would have purchased the calipers from you but, at the time, your were out of stock. The brakes on this car were never "bad" considering the era of car but I am hoping I get a little extra stopping power that I can feel vs. my stock front brakes.

All, Well I got the gumption up and swapped to the new brakes. This is my first experience with the sliding calipers so hoping I got these clips on correctly. I was able to get these to clear my 15" rims but I had to have the weights moved to the outside of the rim as there was just an ever slight scrubbing with the inside weights.

Well after bleeding the brakes once, tearing down the rear brakes (SSBC disc conversion), finding the (rear) hard lines plugged with rust/crap, blowing all that out, bleeding again, replacing the rubber lines all all four tires, and then bleeding a 3rd time, yes it stops pretty well. I'd say incrementally better than before - but not night/day. However, I will say it is approaching the brakes of a modern day car.
