I've had zero issues with 10% ethanol in lawnmowers, snowblowers, chainsaws, leaf blowers, or the Holley 750 that I installed on my Duster in 1999. The gas sits in the lawnmower and Holley 750 year round. I do run the snowblower, chainsaw and leaf blower dry at the end of the season. The octane rating only indicates the level of resistance of the fuel to burn, and shouldn't affect anything else. Yes...I don't run mine out..fuel sits..the issue I'm trying to debate is the 10% ethanol vs the 0%..not octane rating as I heard the 10% eats up newer carbs because of plastic content. Now adays,at least around WNY, mower/blower guys don't rebuild the carbs mostly as new replacements can be had for under 20 bucks...but then again, that is newer carbs with more plastic
