No way. Been there done that. Stock is boring. Turning wrenches is fun. New iron is too much expense at once time. Modernizing old iron is fun to do and makes driving more exciting. I’ll take a low buck vintage ride and make it want I want over a high or low dollar stocker any day. Do upgrades when I want to do them when I want to spend the money.

I am trying to purchase a 1978 D200 with Cummins diesel. The truck has been sitting outside a barn for 2 years, general rust in normal areas. The frame is solid.
I just want a farm truck and may toss a snow plow on it.
I am not rich...but I get off my ass everyday to make sure I am not broke!
Can we get the Mexican cartels to help us with our supply chain issues? They don't seem to have any trouble getting stuff from one place to another.

Day two rules! I just can’t get into the new stuff.
It really doesn't matter whether you win or lose… as long as you look good doing it!

What about "Day-2"? Even in 1969 when I bought (ordered) my '69 Road Runner I couldn't wait to put a set of Hooker Headers on it and tweak a few other things like the ignition (CDI box and distributor mod) and then there was that all important 8-track player and FM receiver hidden in the glove box and four speakers..........and don't forget a new set of custom aftermarket wheels or your choice Day-2 still rules today IMO and meant to be driven Still doing that hookers, racer brown, anti pump-up's, mallory, mark V, accel solid core, gabriel hijackers, ansens and torque thrust, make sure that 8 track has a slide mount and you have package shelf 6x9's

IM ALL FOR DAY2 CARS.... Yea, cars like we had that we could drive in day 2 config until it was dead.
Im sorta meaning the highly modified cars that get into the same costs as a new srt type car.
Maybe I should of asked about semi stock.

No mention of the CHEATER CAM. I got one of those, it rocks like a roller, maybe a stretch for day 2 though. What about "Day-2"? Look, you can’t make the old stuff compete with the new stuff $ for $. I’m sure the hobby is much more segmented than just two kinds of people but either you like to wrench and enjoy the satisfaction of your sweat equity or you just want to go with the latest creation of someone else’s imagination. If your fortunate enough to do both more power to you. Even though my gen three Charger won’t outrun some of the new ones there is way more enjoyment in a lopey cam, smelly exhaust, absence of refinement and sophistication, one of a kind looks and just the pleasure of driving nostalgia. There is no need for a stereo with electric cutouts bumptious sometimes I wish I had cup holder back and not the one that hangs in the window gap of the door. 😁
