IAnybody know anything about this intake? The casting number leads me to believe it's from the '60's but I can't find it listed anywhere. Note the big water fitting up front. The ports are roughly 1 7/8" tall. confused

Looks to be possibly an industrial application. Odd bosses and no coil mount. What does the choke well look like? No doubt it is a 67 or newer LA application.

A search on the casting number comes up with a "water heated intake manifold". Not sure of the application, though.

it does have a coil mount.

never seen a pipe plug in that spot on a intake. if its in the cross over? or it could be an oil dump for an oil cooler if open to valley? definitely has a cast in boss for it.

water by pass fittings looks to be plumbed for Indust/boat engine with water cooled exhaust manifolds maybe.

looks to be an early non emissions 318 intake. it does have bosses for v style a/c comp. 273 had a single plane 2v intake so don't think it is 273. could be from larger Industrial truck app.

I agree 67 or newer

I wager a boat engine or larger truck chassis.

With no choke provision then the application must have been industrial of some sort, not expected to go through frequent warm up cycles?

1970 ~ 1978, interesting. Here's a pic of the different heads to go with it.
