Im in the middle of setting up a DANA 60 and a the New ring gear falls on the stock carrier (original powr lok) instead of a slight press fit. I cant measure the carrier today but the ring gear measures out at 6.372 and the set I removed measures 6.369... Does anyone have the dimensions for carrier / Ring gear fit?

So what did they say are the numbers?

He didn't provide me with a mfg dimension value just a measured Ring gear ID he had on hand. When I get a chance I'll measure the carrier on some good equipment and see if any of my friends (if any are still there) at a former employer can get me some numbers to compare to.
Got a message from Gus at Randy's. Says 6.373 no Tol info though.

I dug out a Strange Spool for a Dana 60 that I had in storage.
Using a 12" caliper, measurement was 6.372 (at 85 deg F).
I cannot guarantee that is within +/-0.001" but it should be close for what you are doing (not for machining).
I did check my caliper against my 5" standard and it matched (both at shop 77 deg F). The spool was from a warmer place in the garage.

I just got another set of gears Motive, the ID measured 6.370 ( similar to the OEM set) and the fit is as expected. So the Auburn set is on its way back to the supplier. sometimes the simplest stuff kicks you butt!
