got my 540 all together, in and fired up. Waiting on a air fuel sensor and just got my new seat belts today. Updated all my safety gear, shoes, socks, and head sock . Looking to drive the beast down the road and see how acceleration responds!!! Birdtracker

I got all my safety equipment re-certed/replaced just in time to sit and wait...All I need is a set of rear tires and set the suspension and I should be good. We'll wait on the tires until I see some loosening up. Got a new trailer too.

I did some work on the motor, set the timing and verified it with two different timing lights, new rear tires, change the front coil over shocks from a set of older steel Koni single adjustable to a set of new Afco external double adjustable aluminum. I also swap the front tires from the 28 inch tall Moroso to a set of shorter 25 inch tall to get the front end down some more and less roll out on the starting line for a better reaction time .

I got my trans leak fixed, but I think the cam plug came out of the block because I had to get a tow due to a major oil leak. If you let the thing idle it doesn't leak a drop of oil, as soon as you drive it the bell housing is full of oil. I had fought the transmission leak so much last year that I was actually relieved that it was engine oil leaking.
I upset the hot rod gods somewhere in the fact that everything that is going wrong with my car lately requires me to pull the transmission lol.

I had H P motors rewire my whole car after 30 plus years of electrical problems and he did a great job, no more worrying if its going to start before every round. He installed a new Quickcar switch panel with a push button starter ( can still use key if i want) which is really nice. I put in a new battery box as my old one was ugly and orange, and a new Jegs stainless steel radiator catch can, looks a lot nicer than the old plastic one i had. I also touched up the paint under the hood and replaced my expired belts. I wanted to replace my Weld Drag lights with new wheels I like the Holeshot R3's but at almost $500 a piece I just can't afford it right now. Car is in the trailer ready to go just waiting for the track to open. On my D150 I added a few chrome accents under the hood and replaced my old 90 2WD Ramcharger rims with new American Racing polished aluminum ones.

That all looks really good, I need to up my radiator and fan game I just haven't done it yet. I don't overheat but on a hot summer day I have to keep my eye on it, especially on the highway.
I like the breather can setup, I need to do the same. I wondering if crank case pressure is what caused my cam plug leak. I had just shut it down from a hard romp on the highway when I got the leak a mile or two later.

Not really winter upgrades but lets call this first one second off season of 2020 upgrade. We actually got to run a few races at the beginning of the year and took home a few dollars already. But we had a little accident with the car and had to repaint the front end because of it. Also added a lower grille to the front end. My son did a killer job matching the paint with this much pearl that's not so easy to do https://youtu.be/cESMvIqDld0The one winter project we did get done was getting the new bullet into the dragster. Since I was unable to get a new block and got tired of looking I bought a used engine. Was "fresh" when I got it. But spent the winter fixing some issues with it and freshening it up again. Its a 600-13 based deal. Makes good power for what it is. Only 13..2-1 compression ratio and a cam in the low .800's lift and 288/292 duration. Certainly not on kill but for this lightweight engine on a stick it should work fine. Did make just under 1100hp and 960 ft/lbs of torque! https://youtu.be/GJhbTxYwGNs
