Cost doesn’t matter to CLASS RACERS ? ... depends on which class !

Lots of stock eliminator racers .... bail out because of that.

Now Factory Stock or Top Fuel ? ... good example of that is a segment from the NHRA broadcast of the 2019 GatorNats .....

Anybody who ever raced knows that weight equals performance but at what cost? When does the dollar cost of a couple of pounds become impractical?

Most people don't race to make money or save money and it is never practicle. If that was their goal they wouldn't race. Racing is an awesome and efficient way to throw away money, and titanium helps a racer attain higher levels of success regarding that aspect of the endeavor. wink

Well I went from 104lbs of battery to 10lbs, not sure I have 94lbs to loose. And yes that was not cheap either. I have actually put steel brakes on my car and taken the carbon ones off. That's cost me 22lbs on the car. But just don't like the feel of the carbon stuff trying to race the top end. Although I may put the rear ones back on it.

As for loosing weight sure who cant. But not 94lbs like the battery did smile I am 6'3" and weigh 220ish, maybe I could find 10 here or there. The issue with the car is the 19.5" opening between the door bars and the roof. We cannot even get the transmission out of the car without standing it on end, and out the door is the only way it comes out.
