Whoa.......getting away from death for a moment if you don't mind.

I was thinking about this in terms of cars I've had over the years and how different the time is now compared to then.

I had a '76 Club Cab back in '89 that I drove a LOT, swapped in a 440 out of a cop car, cleaned up the frame (painted it) made the interior more comfortable and basically drove the wheels off it adding about 200K miles to it in the time I owned it. I have a LOT of memories of that truck, and it seems like I DID a lot with that truck. I owned it 6 yrs.

Fast forward to my wagon. I bought it with a rod knock, swapped in a 440 to get it moving until I could rebuild the original 400. Moparts member Zippy sold me some 400 parts to help with the rebuild as well as another member who hasn't been on here in eons and........nothing. Car became a driver as is for a few years being driven less and less until it finally hasn't left the garage in far too long. I got more accomplished on my Club Cab then I ever have with the wagon, and I drove the truck a TON more too. I have owned the wagon for 20 years and it pains me to admit, its in worse shape now than when I bought it. It's almost in worse shape than the truck, and that got junked.

The truck I feel like I owned it a lot longer than I did, the wagon I feel like I've had it a lot less.

And with each passing day, time seems to be going faster still.

When I was younger, I remember hearing old(er) people talking about how fast time passes, I had no clue just how fast they meant. help

She was awesome, a good friend and loved my son. We hung out every time we met at a Mopar event from the (air conditioned) announcing tower at the nat's to the Moparts picnic at Norwalk with Unlawful to just having fun driving around in the right hand drive Daytona with my son pretending to be driving it to freak people out as she burned rubber to get their attention laugh2 She was too cool. angel

Miss them ALL,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Christopher missed DG a lot

Showed up to a roadkill nights event some years back. Same guy owned it at that time. Not sure what the deal is since I'm not a mod anymore but I think he's on permaban/don't get me started.

Lost Labratt/Randy Borowski as well who I really liked.
Lost my Dad back in '12, and a very good friend of about 25 years recently, out of nowhere.
I have 180/Unlawfl decals on my car to this day, I do miss Gary, and how odd it is I'd like to think he
would be proud of my progress in life (he was younger than me but did a whole lot more, a whole lot sooner).

My Mom is in rough shape these days as well.

Yep, that good(?) ol' natural progression of life.

Take care all

It was also on Mecum a few years ago (16?) went to six figures but didn't meet the reserve, don't know if it sold after that or if it was listed by the owner that Zippy mentioned? Still was a right hand drive during the Mecum showing, they told the story of the history of it and why it was converted. Be a shame to put it back to left hand drive. This photo of the surprised smiling look on my son's face in the left hand seat was after he realized that DG and I told him that he was going to drive and to get in the (former) driver's seat. When DG said let's go for a ride over to the Moparts picnic he ran for the right side door and we said "no not that side, go to the other side and you drive". He was excited and scared at the same time as he was too young to drive but he was going to give it a try. He opened the left side door, jumped in and then saw there was no steering wheel and knew we tricked him, gave DG the look but was still excited to go for a ride in a car with a giant wing on it. Great time that he never will forget.
