Hello! If I were to find a car in a barn, besides the VIN, what are things unique to hemi R/Ts, please? Asking for a friend...
Did they use an 8 3/4? We’re power brakes an option?
Thanks

Yes power brakes and power disc available. Dana for 4 speed, but that was not hemi specific as 440 had them also. Hemi Emblems, believe torque boxes, and hemi type k-frame mounts. Vin for sure. All 1967 B-Body power disc brakes used the offset "Hemi" booster. If you got the Hemi with the Torqueflite, you got manual drum brakes and an 8 3/4. If you went with the 4-sp, power front discs and the Dana were mandatory options. As to Hemi only, yes, torque boxes and the Hemi K-frame were necessary. 3/8" fuel lines rather than 5/16". The item most overlooked in a clone or an imposter is the plate welded to the rear floor pan that the pinion snubber contacts.

Thank you. What is specific about the Hemi K frame, please? Aren’t the block mounting points similar on all RB motors? Maybe skid plate or something?

Hemi doesn't use the B/RB mount bracket style that bolts to ears on the block. Totally different arrangement that bolts to the sides of the block. Google some pictures and the difference is obvious.

Im not I have an original 1967 Plymouth salesman's book, that is what my comment is based on. And no, I never said that disc brakes with a 4-spd were "standard", I used the term the book uses "mandatory option". If it comes down to it I'll scan that page out of the book.

Thanks guys, I appreciate it. The front end is missing on the car but the k member and offset booster are there. The VIN is also intact but the car has an 8 3/4 under it. I am thinking maybe the Dana could have been scavenged at some point, and this is to keep it rolling.

Is the fender tag still there? Unfortunately a fender tag on a '67 doesn't guarantee that the car is genuine. As there is no VIN on a '67 fender tag, it could have come from another car.
