Anybody know how many cars actually came with those? I’ve seen two cars, and I’ve looked at easily 500 different Plymouth e bodies over the years.
Those are mega rare! I wonder how many were removed and trashed because people thought it was an aftermarket add-on.
'63 Dodge 330 11.19 @ 121 mph Pump gas, n/a, through the mufflers on street tires with 3.54's. 3,600 lbs. 10.01 @ 133mph with a 250 shot of nitrous an a splash of race gas. 1.36 60 ft. 3,700 lbs.

The first time I saw them was in 80’s and I remember looking and thinking JC Whitney... they looked like you could just tear them off with one hand. I doubt many people checked off M46 on the option box, and it appears that Plymouth didn’t put them on sales-bank cars either!

Of the two cars I saw, one had the blackout and one was regular paint, but I have know way of knowing if the regular paint wasn’t simply a repaint.
I remember thinking the lower blackout would be REALLY handy for rust repair.....no need to paint the whole car!
If I ever see another I’m going to pay more attention and ask more questions.

Where on the car where they located? Right in front of the rear wheels, all the way down low. They weren’t offered on Cuda’s cause Cuda’s got the rocker gills. And maybe also cause they are just too cheesy for a Cuda. They are simulated brake ducts.
