Anyone know the tq spec for ARP studs with composite Felpro gasket on BB Edelbrock MW Victors? I can't remember what it was with the Cometics, should be same.

The torque will be what ever ARP says regardless of the gasket type or make.

My white instruction sheet calls for 80Ft. Lbs. with the new ARP lube, I used 75 Ft. lb. on the current motor I'm building with 440-1 heads and Cometic .066 thick MLS head gaskets with the ARP head studs. The pistons rock over to max height on this motor are right at .030 above the deck so I'm pushing the piston to head clearances with .036 measured on the highest piston edge, the rest have slightly more piston to head clearances up

Ok, last I measured I had .037 rocked on one side and .049 on the other. I don't think the piston would ever come up the bore rocked totally to one side ever.

Thank about what the piston does on the compression stroke and then what it does on the firing stroke work shruggy
I've seen piston to head witness marks on both sides of my old dish pistons in my first pump gas 400 stroker motor at .035 clearances, none at .042 clearances shruggy
I couldn't feel it when turning the motor over with the spark plugs out on the engine stand or on the engine dyno when testing the leak down and setting the valve lash hot shruggy work

ok, if the piston does rock to one side, I would think it would always rock to the larger side of the pin, leaving my .037" measure as what the clearance might be should the piston rock totally to one side. I don't know my pin offset figure. I don't think I would want to be any closer than my .037 quench.

I agree with Cab, 75lbs, also the piston to head will be fine.
