Needed a fuel line from pump to AVS for this '68 Road Runner 383.
Got one from Classic (# MF574A) that's supposedly for this application.
Uh, no way. Even tried 2 tubing benders to tune it, no luck.
Quite different at the lower area, as far as bends & angles, hits block, alternator, & distributor.
I have an original to compare it to but the carb end was screwed up by someone, hence the aftermarket Russian Roulette.
The Classic catalog also lists an MF571A and MF572A.
The 571 says for AFB but looks the same as the OEM piece. Also looks like Inline Tube # PRE6801.
The 572 says for AVS but looks more like the 574.
Anyone here know the secret part # or if the AFB uses the same thread as AVS?

Appreciate that, Bill - this is a pretty shiny piece, for what it's worth.

Well the update on what's turning into a bit of a cluster****...and additional info if it helps:
Tried repairing the existing line, still a leaker @ carb end just spinning the motor unlit.
Bill's line was already claimed, but big thanks for trying thumbs
Called Classic & spoke with a tech guy there, who unfortunately isn't familiar with Mopars.
He did have the 571 & 572 pulled and gave me measurements & descriptions as best he could.
Classic gets their lines from Fine Lines.
The 572 sounded "no way".
Gonna try the 571, which cost $24.99 + $8.95 UPS, but they're sending me an RMA for the 574 at least.
Inline Tube has a # PRE6801 that looks right, but I'll try the 571 and report back in case it helps someone.
Classic's & Inline Tubes' photos show the lines upside down and/or backwards, printed a page of each and viewed each from opposite side of the paper.
Looked all over the FSM & Interweb for a clear photo of correct routing - 2nd-guessing myself - nuthin'.
I guess nobody here has run into this?

Oh, and FWIW, the "KV" stamped hose is rock hard. But at least it's short. (insert wisecrack here).
Maybe my OCD can turn this into a 2-week saga, complete with Waa-mbulance laugh2 !

I'm going to have to replace the fuel lines from the pump to the carb on my 67 Belvedere II 383, which has an AVS as well. Did you ever get this sorted out?

Oops, forgot the update on this, sorry.
Yes, the 571 worked after a minor tweak to get the angle right at the carb end.

For whats its worth,
Ive used both Fine lines and inline tube BOTH required some tweaking on one end or the other to make them fit.

Got so pissed off on one ( dont remember which ) I just made my own lower one time.

I just replaced the fuel lines from the front rail to the pump and up to the carb on mine and got them from Fine Lines and probably needed very minor tweaking but were better than any others I've had with my other cars.

inherited a 69 roadrunner from my grand pop.

Thanks for the info! I ordered the Inline Tube # PRE6801. Hopefully, it's a good part.
