Thanks for answering my question. Thanks to the mice we don't have the broadcast sheet, but do have the window sticker. It doesn't list a radio, so I knew it didn't come with a radio. I was unsure about the hole in the fender though. By the way it is WM21M9AXXXXXX, V2, black interior, bench seat, 4 speed car and rusty.
Thanks for clearing it up. Mark

I have a 6 pack bee that is a radio delete car that had an am/8 track with 4 chrysler speekers installed when new. My uncle purchased it new and the radio and speekers had already been installed. The fender has been replaced long ago and my uncle has passed away. My question is did a radio delete car come with a fender with a hole and a rubber plug or a fender without a hole. THANKS for our help!

Mark, don't let any of these comments upset you. It is commonly called "radio delete" when there is no radio ordered for the car. It has been and always will be called "radio delete". There is no antenna hole in the front fender if a radio was not ordered. There would be a textured plastic "block-off" trim panel in the dash and a very thin black cardboard blockoff taped with wide black masking tape to the underneath of the dash to cover the center speaker grill opening. This is to keep the light from shining up through the dash. I believe the only way to tell for sure that it was ordered without a radio on a Lynch Road car is if you have the broadcast sheet or the dealer's bill of sale from when the car was purchased? If you can show that the 8-track was a dealer installed item when new, I'd leave it in...unless it's a 4 speed coupe.
Agreed! My car is "Radio Delete" I can't believe people still bring this crap up. There are three people in the hobby that don't call it radio delete and their all on this forum! (they really need to get a life)! KID
I do it mostly because it's funny to see how far up your butt your panties get whenever it's mentioned ...

What really bugs me is when people talk about their hot water heater. Why would you be heating hot water?
Actually, when I first installed the device-that-heats-water in my home, it was shipped empty. Once I installed it, I filled it for the first time with cold water, and it heated that cold water up to thermostat temperature. In my memory, that was the last time it was a [cold] water heater. Ever since then, the thermostat setting has kicked the burners on as soon as the stored water dropped below the setting on the dial. Like the majority of people with tanked water heaters, this thermostat setting is not cold, cool, or even warm. The threshold is set at slightly-less-hot-than-I-want-my-hot-water-to-be.
My house DOES have a "hot water heater".
HOW COOL IS THAT!?
Down to just a blue car now.

E bodies with no radio ordered had a rubber plug in the body behind the kick panel where the antenna lead would have gone if the car had been ordered with a radio.
No radio ordered - no antenna so no hole for one in the top of the fender or in the brace on the underside. gotcha! thanks!

My 66 Belvedere has “radio delete”. When I purchased it there was an antenna and a gapping hole in the dash that was peeled back. After taking the fender off I could see someone had used a punch to make a hole (in the hinge box) small enough to get the cable through, there was no other hole in the normal place so proof car came without radio. When I worked at the dealer I had to drill the holes (both) if a customer wanted a radio installed. Normally radio was ordered for the particular car and came as a package kit, template included. Btw, my 4 door car has no radio, I’m using the fender and the plate. Looking down through the windshield in the speaker grill (wondering what was used) I see no tape or blocker of light, maybe rats ate it?

I've owned and seen plenty of radio delete (what we call a car that didn't come with a radio) Mopars. I've never seen a plug in a fender. If the car didn't come with a radio it doesn't have a hole in the fender.
