You might be better of starting with a ‘68. To truly make it look like ‘68 is going to be expensive.
It really doesn't matter whether you win or lose… as long as you look good doing it!

If it is a race car, why add extra weight like marker lights & lower dash pads? Guessing he wants to run a class that the combination is limited to 1968 bodies. Perhaps he wants to run NHRA GT classes. With a 68 you can run a Hemi scoop. 67 no fresh air. If he wants to run a 340 in Stock or Super Stock (excepting the GT classes) he would need to run a 68. So there can be lots of reasons to change the year. Of course this is assuming it is a race car.

What is different on the 67 vs 68 barracuda fastback?
I want the 67 I am looking at to look like a 68.
I know the side marker lights will need to be added, the rear backup lights will need to be deleted, the rear taillights are different and the panel between the rear lights is different.
Will the parts be hard to find to convert it over to look like a 68?
This will be a race car, so it does not have to be perfect on the inside, but would like to know the difference in the dash area?
Anyone out there have the parts necessary they would let go to do this?
Thanks for the help.
I wrote this years ago, based on what I found when trying to swap parts. Some of these things matter (like the grill) and some or more subtle (like the doors/glovebox). https://board.moparts.org/ubbthread...-between-67-69-barracudas.html#Post50614Good luck

Heck, in that case it's not a big deal; change the grilles & rear lamps and trunk lid trim, and most folks at the track wouldn't know it's a '67, including Tech. The more important stuff is how suitable the car is for the drags. My car in the avatar was run as a '71 during its professional career, but it's actually a '70. The Hamburger/Bachelder/Chipman Demon was originally a Duster. There are several cars like that in current Stock, SS, nostalgia, and stock-appearing-musclecar classes, all makes.
